We had a wonderful ski today – up Ravens and Gulch in good powder ski tracks on previous grooming, and on Harmon up to Panorama shelter and down to the road. Harmon has had its initial run-over with the skidoo only, so is narrow and rough but was still a great ride. The snow is soft and not too fast so it was a straight run all the way down.

Today Mike did the initial skidoo pass over Hills Homestead, Aspen, etc. (The snow is too deep to haul the groomer on the first pass). There is good snow cover on all the trails and more fresh snow on the Homestead side. As well there is, of course, deeper snow higher up – around a foot and a half at Panorama.

P.S. I lost a green toque on the way up up – if anyone finds it please call 378-2468. Thanks.

    Jan 31st updates
Crisp morning at Kane Valley (-8C) and the snow is still excellent. The wind seems to have dropped.
Mike groomed Kane, Matthews, Vale, & Gulch and some other trails yesterday and double-skidood all of Harmon. He will be out again today doing Hill’s Homestead.

Anyone lost a couple of dogs? A young St. Bernard and a Pyrenees were found at P1. If anyone knows whose dogs these are please leave a note and contact info here.

    Should be great skiing today!

We skied Matthews Loop this afternoon – wonderful fluffy snow and just perfect with blue wax. Should be great tomorrow (Saturday) too. Mike was out grooming in the late afternoon and has probably groomed many of the trails. Thanks again Mike!

And even more snow now at 11 AM! Looks great for the weekend. If the track setter could be run over this new snow, it would make a great base for the winter.

And the ice fishing is still pretty good too 🙂

There is 2″ of fresh snow this morning in Kane Valley!

Had a great ski this morning P5/Kane/Matthews and back. O degrees at 10 am and +4 when we finished. Approach to January landing a bit rough…but worth it once you get there and clear skiing from there. Thanks to Mike for the grooming!!! Happy Holidays to all.

Skied the afternoon of December 26
Raven’s Ridge – A small amount of snow on a firm base. Snow not sticky and trail is smooth.
To whomever is in charge of the brochures: There are no brochures at P1.

Mike went out this am (24th) and groomed the following trails:
Vale, Menzies, Raven’s Ridge, Tillicum, Asp, Crossover, Gulch, Matthew’s Loop and Kane. Thanks Mike !!
Skiers – please post the skiing conditions on these and other trails. Please do not snowshoe on these groomed trails.

    Merry Christmas!
