There is a Llama on the Hills homestead trail. It was close by the rest area were the outhouse is. Looks like it is in good shape but I’m not sure it will survive the winter up there.

Andrea and I skied Matthews loop and checked out a few other trails today. The skiing is good – but a word of caution: as you might expect with this very early skiing, there are many ruts in the trails and in some places rocks are still sticking out. Some trails have been run with the groomer, some with the snowmobile only and some not at all. Most of the groomed trails look great. Many people were out today enjoying the trails and the good weather.
Thanks to Darren and Mike for doing this early preparation to allow us such an early start to the ski season.

Just skiied Menzies – Gulch – Raven’s Ridge. Temperature was -7C. Snow was great. But someone has driven a truck along Raven’s Ridge and messed up the groomed trails with great big ruts.

The snowmobile was out and ran through most of the trails today. Tomorrow the groomer will follow and most trails will be groomed (with the exception of the top end of Matthew’s loop which needs a bit more snow and Harmon)…. but the rest will be groomed & ready to ski for this weekend! Enjoy!

Hi I am looking for stores in Kamloops or Kelowna that carry cross country skis for intermediate level skier.

Skiied Mathew’s Loops today. A few rocks but ok coverage for the most part. A few creeks you have to step over, but it was dumping up there. Our tracks were covered from the start when we returned to the vehicle. 🙂

Skied the Kane Trail from P2 Sunday morning (Nov. 17). Temperature about -1 C. About 10 cm of snow. Hunter vehicles have been on the road. Need more snow. If you are going to try it, use your oldest skis.
